“It is only with the heart that one can see rightly. What is essential is invisible to the eye.”

Creating a Happier, More Fulfilling Life

You’re here because you want to change what’s not working. You may believe you don’t matter, are unlovable or unworthy. That you‘ll never succeed, be happy and fulfilled. That you’re a failure at relationships. Or that you can’t undo past traumas and are doomed to lead a limited life.

As real as all that can feel, none of it is true.

With the right support, you can begin taking positive steps to growth and well-being now that will lead to healing and wholeness. I’m committed to helping you do just that.

What it’s like to work with me

A focus on what matters most

I don’t set myself up as “the expert” or have a one-size-fits-all agenda. Think of me as a compassionate and skilled companion. I trust you to choose the issues or goals we’ll work on together.

A safe and nurturing space

I offer a space for you to feel valued, respected, heard, honored and safe. This safety supports you to fully engage in our work together – even when we touch on painful issues.

Mastering the art of change

Change is a step-by-step process. Once it gains momentum, it can be like a domino effect. This happens as we pause to integrate the changes as you shift along the way. We’ll do that.

About Mary

I’ve always been a good listener, interested in other people and their problems. I was a school teacher for over a decade, and I loved helping my students grow and learn. It was then I began to feel the call to become a therapist.

Once I did my own therapy to heal from a divorce, I was able to listen to people more skillfully. The feedback I got was how helpful I was. This helped me find the resolve to change careers at 40, apply to graduate school and begin my journey into becoming a therapist. I’m so grateful I did.

I have been told that I am a perceptive and intuitive helper. Clients have expressed that my gentle humor and down-to-earth nature have created a safe, supportive space for healing.

I’ve been in private practice for over 20 years. Watching my clients grow and heal — and their tenacity and courage in the face of pain and hardship – deeply inspires me.
